Davis Cup: Nalbandian Respects the Russians.
The series against Russia in the semifinals of the Davis Cup begins in three days; David Nalbandian was confirmed as one of the singles players who will make his debut on Friday. Actually, the confirmation only made what everybody knew official. The man from Unquillo is to play on the first day and Juan Martín del Potro will be the other singles player. On his opponents, Nalbandian, the man from Córdoba, showed due respect to the European team when stating: “Argentina generally makes the difference on clay against all the other countries, but against Russia there won´t be a big difference. They play well on this surface”. About his injury in the hip which has caused him lots of troubles this season, the seventh seeded player said he was feeling “much better”. “Physically, I am much better than before. After Wimbledon I played in the Olympic Games and the US Open and fortunately I am not suffering from so much pain”, he stated. Most probably, David will make his debut against the Russian Igor Andreev.
