David Asked that if they Reach the Final, it is Played in Córdoba
David Nalbandian, the man from Córdoba, asked that if Argentina beats Russia and reaches the finals in the Davis Cup 2008, the final is played in Córdoba. Apparently the Superdomo Orfeo is the only stadium in which tennis can be played indoors on carpet in the country. There are several inconveniences: there are 2,000 seats less than estimated for a final and the advertisers of the David Cup (the rights are outsourced) would not earn about two million dollars if the final is played in Córdoba. The opponent will be the winner of the other semifinals, to be played this weekend in Madrid, between Spain and United States.
