Nalbandian got off to a Good Start in the Stockholm ATP
After playing in an exhibition in Armenia, the land of his grandparents, against Sargsis Sargsian, David Nalbandian made a successful debut in the Stockholm Open (Switzerland) by beating the American Bobby Reynolds 6-1, 6-1. The man from Unquillo starts this indoor tour with the objective of defending important points won at the end of 2007, when his triumphs brilliantly established him in the Masters Series in Madrid and Paris. “They will be really motivating tournaments”, Nalbandian said. Mainly due to two reasons: he defends the title in two of his main achievements during his career and because this will be good training for the Davis Cup. In the next round, he will face the winner of the match between the Swedish Joachim Johansson (WC) and the French Nicolás Mahut.
