Del Potro left David with no Chances of Keeping the Crown
The new generation of Argentine tennis made his presence felt in Madrid. David Nalbandian, the “King” for everybody since placing himself as Argentina´s number one in 2005, lost to Juan Martín Del Potro 6-4 and 6-2, and lost his chances of defending the title of the Madrid Masters Series. Del Potro, whose self-confidence is high and plays really well, showed his superiority with the serves and two fast breaks, one in each set. The man from Tandil was the favorite since he has been playing really well for the last months while the man from Córdoba is just getting his rhythm back. But Del Potro has to win one more match to take the position of first player in the country away from David. David´s next appointment will be in the Basel ATP, next week, where he won in 2002 and was finalist in 2003 and 2004.
