Nalbandian defeated Kiefer and will face Del Potro
It is not very common that somebody faces the same opponent three times in four weeks. But this will be true for “King” David and Juan Martín Del Potro in the Paris Masters Series. Both of them reach the fourth round of the last tournament of the season having won once (David in Basel and the man from Tandil in Madrid). Once again, the position of number one of the country is at stake and there are just 24 days to go before the final of the Davis Cup. Nalbandian left the German Nicolas Kiefer behind in the second round 7-6 (5) and 6-3 in two hours and seven minutes of an intensive fight mainly in the first set when the German made lots of winning shots. Delpo reaches this stage more relaxed since on Tuesday he defeated the Croatian Mario Ancic 6-0 and 6-4. But they both know and respect each other; the man from Tandil is playing to qualify for the Masters. It will be broadcast by ESPN and ESPN+.
