David after facing Ferrer: I played a Great Match
I played a great match against David Ferrer from the very beginning. There were just a few moments when things got complicated. I played really well from the beginning to the end and had control over the situation. The attitude of the people was amazing; it was really nice playing the match there. I enjoyed the two hours of game, I had a great time and that was very productive. I don’t think I played at the level I played last year in the Madrid and Paris Masters Series because the nerves you experience are different. Besides, you have to play five sets, with all the people there; it was a great match, I played an almost perfect match. You always expect a long and hard match when facing Ferrer, because he never gives up, his return balls are good; he always forces you to play one more ball. I played well and could close the match before I had thought. I have two good feelings: having played well and having finished fast, which is important for the weekend. How well I played today and the little time the match lasted, are decisive factors to decide if I can be in doubles. I feel good to play, because instead of four hours, I played two. I have to talk to Luli to see how we handle doubles on Saturday. I practiced many hours with Agustín and Chucho. They are both going through a good moment, are motivated and we’ll do our utmost, no matter with whom I play the point in doubles.
