Important Donation from Nalbandian´s Foundation
Nalbandian´s Foundation donated an oto-emitter to the Neonatal Hospital of Córdoba, the only machine of this kind in the province which will be useful to early detect hearing problems. The Province’s Minister of Health, Oscar González; the administrator of the Neonatal Hospital, Victor Jury; the sub-administrator, Mario Ferroni; the Licenciada, Gladys Fernández de Soto, coordinator of the program for the early detection of hearing problems; and as representatives of the Foundation, its president, Roque Villa and David Nalbandian´s mother, Alda Villa (photo) were present at the presentation. The advantage of the oto-emitter is that it is a complex machine which allows doing two key tests almost simultaneously: the acoustic oto-emissions and the evoked potential. Before, the hospital had to refer the patients for doing a second test, with several months of delay. “The Foundation is carrying out great actions”, Fernández del Soto emphasized; while the Minister stressed the fact that “the Province did not contribute to buy this machine. We are extremely grateful". The Foundation’s work continues yielding, in this case, the contribution of highly complex technology which no public hospital has and which, thanks to the Foundation, reaches a public institution.
