David crushed Llondrá and now faces Hewitt
“King” David crushed the Frenchman Micheael Llondrá 6-1 and 6-3 in just 57 minutes in his debut in the Sydney ATP. Now he will face the Australian Lleyton Hewitt, the home player, in quarterfinals. Nalbandian (4th seeded) played a great tennis and surpassed the French thanks to the high effectiveness of his serves. He won the first set in just 20 minutes, and it took him 37 to win the second since both played almost at the same level. The man from Unquillo won 82% on first serve, while Llondrá won 67%. On his part, Hewitt left the Serbian Janko Tipsarevic out 7-5 and 6-4. "Aussie" leads the overall head to head 3 to 1. Hewitt won the first three times; in Barcelona 2002 (clay), the finals in Wimbledon 2002 (grass) and the Australian Open 2005 (hard court), while David defeated him in 2005 in the Davis Cup quarterfinal (grass).
