David Cherished his Hopes with his Game in Australia
A good victory over the French Marc Gicquel made “King” David get off to a good start in the Australian Open, the Grand Slam played in Melbourne. By winning 6-1, 4-6, 6-2 and 6-3, he is now to play the second round against the Chinese Yen Hsun Lu, who defeated the Brazilian Tomaz Bellucci in straight sets. "I played well almost all the time, except during the second set when I lost concentration- Nalbandian said when the match was over. I did not find it difficult to get a steady pace of matches in the tournament in Sydney and I feel physically well, although I have to avoid losing concentration because against other opponents things can get more complicated”: Lu is ranked 61st and has faced David once before. It was back in 2004 in the ATP in Beijing, when the man from Córdoba won 6-7, 6-4 and 6-4.
