David moved another Step forward in Masters 1000 Indian Wells
This time his victim was the American Robert Kendrick, who entered by qualification. In one hour and four minutes, David Nalbandian took advantage of his only two chances of breaking and won 6/4 and 6/4, making his way to the third round. David did not only not show the physical problems (virus) which had affected him in the Buenos Aires and Acapulco ATP, and which prevented him from playing the Davis Cup against Holland, but also served well and clearly outstripped his opponent. The man from Unquillo broke in the third game of the first set to be at an advantage and then kept his serve, winning then 6-4. In the second, he had his chance in the seventh game and did not waste it. He broke and closed the match. Kendrick had no chances of breaking. His next opponent will be the winner of the match between the Czech Tomas Berdych (opponent in the Davis in July) and the Serbian Viktor Troicki. If he wins again, and Rafael Nadal defeats the Russian Dmitry Tursunov in their next match, he will face the Spaniard in the fourth round.
