The “King” let the Number One get away by just a bit
David was about to defeat the Spaniard Rafael Nadal, currently number one of the world, but lost 3-6, 7-6 (5) and 6-0 in two hours and 54 minutes, in the fourth round of the ATP Masters 1000 Indian Wells. Nalbandian was one set up (6-3) and had five match points in the second. But “Rafa”, who is a warrior, managed to change what seemed inevitable and after giving up the tie-break in the second, the man from Unquillo went to pieces. Showing his usual physical response, Nadal broke three times and took the third set 6-0. However, the Spaniard was about to say goodbye to Indian Wells. Today (at about 8 p.m.), David and Delpo will play doubles against the American Andy Roddick and Mardy Fish.
