In Barcelona, with Ferrero or Kunitsvn
David Nalbandian waits for his opponent in the second round of the ATP 500 in Barcelona; he will be the Russian Igor Kunitsvn, who defeated the Spaniard Juan Carlos Ferrero (wc), who has begun to think about his retirement, 7-5 and 7-6(3). The man from Unquillo starts as 7th pre-qualified in the traditional tournament Conde de Godó which awards 1.99 million Euros in prizes. He has faced Kunitsvn once and lost: it was on a hard court in Los Angeles, 2007. They both played in Monte-Carlo last week. David was defeated in the third round by the Russian Nikolay Davydenko in three sets and Kunitsvn was beaten by "el Flaco" Juan Chela also in three sets. If he moves one step forward, he could face Nicolás Almagro in the fourth round and Rafael Nadal in quarter finals.
