Nalbandian will face Nadal in Conde de Godó
The man from Córdoba is on a winning streak in the traditional tournament of Conde de Godó in Barcelona. Today, in the third round, he defeated the Spaniard Nicolás Almagro 6-3 and 6-4 in just one hour and 3 minutes. In quarter finals, he is to face world’s number one, Rafael Nadal. As matches go by, David plays better and better. He improved his percentage of first serves compared to the previous match (he served three aces and one double-fault), took advantage of three out of the five chances he had to break and saved the four chances Almagro had. He is not playing his best tennis yet, but is getting the pace. His next match will be against the Spaniard Rafael Nadal, world’s number one, who is also the home player and the match will be on his favorite kind of surface. In the last match they played, the man from Córdoba had five match points in his favor before losing in three sets; but that was on a hard court. David is 2-1 over but all the matches were played on hard surfaces.
