David hopes the treatment will help him recover
This is a key week for David Nalbandian´s future. After withdrawing from the ATP Masters 1000 in Rome, the man from Córdoba will undergo treatment which his physician, Angel Ruiz Cotorro, recommended to bring relief from his hip injury. The tennis player and the team that helps him believe that the tennis player from Córdoba won’t have to undergo surgery. This is the reason why the first plan is to carry out the treatment and check the development by doing tests. The acid test will be on the week of May 3rd, when he takes part in the ATP in Estoril (Portugal). If the treatment proves positive, David will go on competing in the European tour on slow courts. If this is not so, there won’t be any other choice but surgery. David decided not to come back to Córdoba to see the World Rally in Argentina so as to count on Ruiz Cotorro´s monitoring and help. This shows that the "King” gives priority to his professional career.
