Nalbandian Underwent Surgery in Barcelona
The worst is over now. Accompanied by his mum and girlfriend, David Nalbandian underwent surgery in a private clinic in Barcelona (Spain) due to a persistent hip injury. The surgeon was Jaime Vilaró (member of the specialist Marc Phillipon´s team) and the operation was supervised by Angel Ruíz Cotorro, his personal physician. He will need about four months to recover from the operation and then will begin to train thinking about his return to the courts. “I still have plenty of time to play, and I keep my aims of retiring with a Grand Slam or a Davis Cup. That would be the ideal thing”, “King David” stated.
