David began the Second Phase of Rehab
Progressing faster than expected, David Nalbandian began this week the second phase of his rehabilitation. The previous treatment- meant to prevent him from undergoing surgery- carried out during the last 12 months, and an injury without serious damage in the auricular cartilage, allowed him to start moving faster than it was expected. So much so that he can drive his own car. "I can drive. I have problems getting in and out of the car; I can’t rotate but can press down the pedals", said David. However, he does not want to hurry: "I am fine. But even if everything turned out fine, it is a slow process. We are following the correct procedures at the correct times, even if I am better than expected”, he assured. This new phase of rehab means leaving behind the first two phases when maximum precautions were taken, to begin exercises on a bike, in a pool and other exercises in two shifts. If he responds correctly, David will begin the third and last phase in a month.
