Even without playing since he is recovering from a hip surgery, the man from Córdoba, David Nalbandian, holds his 16th position in the world due to the protected ranking. The player from Unquillo is the second best Argentine player after Juan Martín Del Potro (5th). They are followed by José Acasuso (36th), Vassallo Argüello (50th), Máximo González (58th), Leonardo Mayer (61st), Juan Mónaco (62nd), Diego Junqueira (91st) and Brian Dabul (97th).
