Bungee Jumping already tried, parachuting still pending
Besides tennis and being one of the best tennis players in the world, David’s dream, very keen on adrenaline, was to try bungee jumping and parachuting. The former was carried out in Vienna in October, 2004, while he was taking part in a tournament. The latter is still pending. This is how he remembers that experience: “From the bridge, you can see the ground, but I decided to do it one day. We were in Austria, and we were offered different activities by the tournament organizers. I asked them to suggest something with adrenaline. One person told me he had the activity for me. I thought: I jump now or I’ll never jump. It was like a horror movie, it was rainy, windy and cold. We went upwards in a closed lift, and came out at a height of 150 meters; it was really windy. The cameras were there; somebody had to jump. It was amazing, they put me dungarees on and there was no way back. My pulse rate was 2000, 140 when standing. We went to a platform, I said goodbye to the guys and jumped. It was amazing".
